Condo Repairs
When you're an out-of-state property owner, it makes it hard to find someone to do repairs in your condo. So far, we have been fortunate to have had an air condition contractor that did a good job and didn't take advantage of us. The contractor we used was Hewitt Heating & Air. If you have any recommendations, or not, the other homeowners might find your comments helpful.

We use Hewett as our Heating/AC company and have been very satisfied. They are quick and their rates are competative.
We had an ac unit replaced, inside and out, and brought up to new EPA codes last winter. Used AireCo from Surfside Beach. Was more then satisfied.
I would like to know if anyone else has had problems with bed bugs? We recently had to shut our unit down for treatment and replace furniture. I was quite upset when they called and told us about the problem, we have owned the unit for over 10 years and have never had anything like this happen. We have to replace our living room furniture and was wondering if everyone just lets their management company take care of it or if they go and pick out items themself. Since the busy season is over and our unit had to be shut down (not good on top of a slow year)we are doing more updates- tile work, painting etc. I'd appreciated any ideas.

We used Carolina Cooling and were more than satisfied. You can negotiate a price and they will match lower quotes.

This post is not about condo repairs, but if you need someone to clean your condo for rentals on a regular basis or for other reasons I would like to recommend a very reliable person. Please email me at paynecraven@triad.rr.com.
We weren't sure where to post our questions, but condo repairs seemed like an apt category. We were wondering who is responsible for the painting/upkeep of the railings on the balconies of the units. We have contacted The Noble Company and a gentleman returned our call to tell us he wasn't sure, but would check on it. Never heard back from him. Can someone tell us who to contact? The information would be appreciated.
Anyone know if the new furniture with its "tropical flair" has been installed in the timeshare units? If so, opinions?
The furniture is being installed this week 6/20 on all the floors. We are in unit 223 and the new furniture came on Monday. Looks really nice - new dining room table and chairs, new coffee table, end table and floor lamp, plus an occasional chair which is quite comfortable and a dresser-type piece under the TV in the living room.
I am a timeshare owner but am looking to rent an end unit - 6th floor or below for next June. Any owners interested in contacting me? Would like to have a unit that has a different configuration in the second bedroom - perhaps bunk beds and a double or something similar - have grandchildren. Email S1924@myactv.net Thanks, Christine
